Warp is a proprietary terminal that was originally designed for macOS users. It has some modern built-in features like hardware acceleration, AI engine and another bigger set of advanced features for power users. Moreover, it is written in Rust.

The team behind it have a plan to gradually open-source all of their codebase, but they are not there yet.
I am not much of a fan of proprietary software, but you would probably be interested to know that Warp Terminal is now available for Linux.
You can read the official announcement from the official website for details: https://www.warp.dev/blog/warp-for-linux
The available download formats are: deb, rpm, tar.gz and AppImage. You can download it from: https://www.warp.dev/
However, based on my testing, I couldn’t get the terminal app to work properly; it is stuck at the login/registeration phase, and no buttons I click work. So apparently, they still have some work to do and bugs to squash before the Linux port starts working properly.
In any case, you can still monitor the current state of things from their GitHub issues page.
